FAQ

What medical insurance do you cover?

Attachment Matters (Meghan M Scileppi, LLC) is an in-network provider with BCBS PPO.

What do I do if my insurance is out-of-network?

Attachment Matters (Meghan M Scileppi, LLC) will submit to out-of-network Insurance companies on behalf of the client but the full cost of the appointment will be the client’s financial responsibility.

If I am having a virtual or in-person appointment, how do I know when my therapist is ready to start?

If in-person, please text your clinician that you have arrived. As soon as your therapist becomes available they will come out into the lobby to greet you. Do not come back and knock on the door unless your therapist is running more than 15 minutes behind.

If virtual, the client should contact the therapist via text when they are ready for their appointment. As soon as the therapist receives the texts they will know you are in a confidential environment and ready to start the appointment. If the therapist is running behind, as soon as the clinician becomes available and receives the text they will start the appointment. If your clinician is running more than 15 minutes behind, they will do their best to contact the client to let them know they are behind.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions range from 30-90 mins. Please note, it is recommended you give yourself time before and after your appointment time; the work can be emotional and it is helpful to have time to process before and after.

Should I have a standing appointment time?

It is recommended you maintain a weekly standing appointment to guarantee an appointment time each week. Due to high demand, there is no guarantee for a weekly appointment if a standing time is not established.  Due to limited availability at this time, if you need to change your standing time, please note, it may take some time for a new standing appointment time to become available.

Can I get a reminder and/or start of appointment text for my appointment?

The therapist will not provide reminder texts, emails, or calls for your scheduled appointment times. If you miss your appointment, it will be considered a late cancellation/no-show. If you contact the therapist within 15 minutes of your missed start time the therapist will provide you the remaining time of your scheduled appointment but will not make up for the time missed.

If the therapist is running more than 15 minutes behind, the therapist will do their best to contact you to let you know they are running late. Due to the sensitive nature of the therapy, there may be occasions where the previous session goes over in time.

How much does insurance cover?

Attachment Matters (Meghan M Scileppi, LLC) is only in-network with BCBS PPO.

Can I keep a credit card on-file for out-of-pocket costs?

Yes, and it is recommended to do so. Cards are run on a monthly basis to keep balances from getting to high.

Can I have multiple sessions per week?

Yes, discuss this with your therapist. Any amount that is not covered by the insurance company will become an out-of-pocket expense.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes. The full cost of the appointment will be owed to the provider. The client is responsible for tracking their individual appointment time(s). The therapist will be available for the first 15 mins of your appointment time, if you do not show within that window of time or need to cancel, your time for that day will be billed as a late cancel/no show and will be billed to you directly, reflecting the late cancel policy.  If you have any concerns regarding your appointments, please contact your therapist ahead of your scheduled appointment time.
